[Edmonton, Canada March 18, 2025] – My Viva Inc. is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Rehani LLC to conduct clinical research on My Viva Plan® in the Middle East. This collaboration will help tailor My Viva’s evidence-based health platform to address the region’s most urgent healthcare challenges.
Chronic diseases are rising at an alarming rate in the Middle East. According to the World Obesity Federation, nearly 70% of adults in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are overweight or obese, significantly increasing the risk of diabetes and other conditions. The region has one of the highest global rates of type 2 diabetes. Tools to support patients at home in managing their health are lacking, leaving a critical gap in personalized, preventive care solutions.
My Viva Plan® bridges this gap by integrating nutrition, mental well-being, and exercise into a single, evidence-based digital platform, making chronic disease prevention and management more accessible, scalable, and culturally relevant.
“We believe that entering a new market should never be rushed. It requires intention and a deep understanding of the people we serve,” said Loreen Wales, CEO at My Viva Inc. “Building technology for chronic disease management is complex—it must be culturally aligned and thoroughly researched to ensure it delivers meaningful, sustainable impact.”
“My Viva Plan® has the potential to transform chronic disease management in the Middle East by making personalized preventive care accessible to more people,” said Dr. Riyadh Rehani, CEO of Rehani LLC. “Our goal is to work with leading institutions and healthcare professionals to validate its impact and ensure it is tailored to the specific needs of this region.”
Rehani LLC, led by Dr. Rehani, brings over 25 years of experience in drug development and clinical research and a strong network of key opinion leaders across the Middle East.
As part of this initiative, My Viva Inc. has initiated discussions with Dr. Mahir Jallo, Clinical Professor of Medicine at Gulf Medical University and Senior Consultant, Internal Medicine & Endocrinology at Thumbay University Hospital, to explore clinical research opportunities for My Viva Plan® in the region. This research will provide critical insights to refine the platform and demonstrate its impact on chronic disease prevention in the Middle East.
The initial phase is expected to be completed by the end of the year, marking a significant milestone in bringing personalized, preventive healthcare solutions to the Middle East.
